Softball Exhibition

Finally the days are over.. 3 days straight working at the Mumong Complex for Sports exhibition. We started on the 24th of August till 26th August 2007. First day was ok because we started at 2pm but the second and third day we started at 10am till 10pm. Kan balik tapi rugi pasal siuk. Our booth was filled with jerseys, bats, helmets, pictures, gloves, medals and trophies on display. We've also got a pitching machine, borrowed from Banzai. Many people came to our booth for batting and catching tryouts. It was hell fun! We've also opened up registration for recruits (softball) and so far i think we got more than 60 new people signed up for it!.. Coolies right?.. I know. Heheh. On the 26/8/07 we got an outdoor demo and they were alot of people came for tryouts. Too bad i wasn't there to watch. Maklumlah, ahir bangun!

I went round the exhibition and they were also alot of associations such as Taekwondo, Karatedo, Kendo, Rugby, Paramotor, Athletics, Basketball, Ping Pong, Lawn Bowling etc etc. They're friendly and smiles were all around. Its good to know that we have these kinds of activities here in KB. A good way to promote extra curricular activities to the public especially little kids, teenagers and also the elderly. There was this one coach from St John's school approached our coach and asked for the details about softball. Finally she's signed up for new recruits. Her aim is to learnsoftball and teach students in her school. Way to go coach Vivian! We salute you!

BBQ Happy Hour Knights & Sapphire!

Oh yeah baby! Last night was hell fun! We had our BBQ thingy at Eng's house yesterday (18/08/2007) from 7:30pm till past midnight. Atu ya!

Tukang masaknya si Eng and Aziz. Its a shame though I didn't help that much since I was wearing an eye patch! Long story.. To keep it short, its an order from the eye specialist.. Anyhoo, we had a great time. We got BBQ chickens, lambs, sausages, crab sticks and ICE CREAM CAKE! We also have some entertainments as well, PS2 (football and dancing games), Shisha, Samchung, Wi-Fi, and also guitar performances by G-lan Hendrix, Boy-Manaf McCartney, Musrapi Jagger and just Sofy! Haha.

Otay, we have some funny incidents happened that night. Knights 1st base player Aziz was so damn excited about shisha. We made apple mint and it tasted sooOoOOoo good! Unfortunately he got TOO excited and the charcoal from the shisha dropped on the table and he (Aziz) picked it up with his bare hands!! Unbelievable?? Well, believe it! Gila bah ia atu, SANGGUP! Oh yeah, the table cloth was ruined so we hafta pay heheh whoops! Sory Jun..

We got a meeting with our coach Mus too that night. So its 100% confirmed that we're gonna play in Miri this 1st and 2nd of September! Woohooooo~ boo yah baby! We will also gonna have a softball exhibition next week on the 24th, 25th and 26th August in Kompleks Sukan Mumong. So you people out there better come and check it out.. Mark it down on your diary, organiser, calendar whatever you call it *wink*

Me and Ayu played that dance thingy till we sweat. Siuk jua lah but not all of us played since they're busy with their own things. The guys played some football on the other PS2. Then later that night they switched to Tekken, so apa lagi, keluar tia segala mental2 and emotion2 durang. Membari watir kamu! Those who I'm talking about are G-lan, Damitz and Ayu. Baik tah kamu betumbuk eih.. Marijap bah.

We played samchung too. Ayu, Shahrin, Mus Damit and me competed. One incident happened too there. As cited by Mus Damit... "huh! lawa kad ku ani, malas kan cakap" so its time to show the cards and guess what? Who's the bigger mouth here ey?.. ULUNG YO!!! bari malu eih.. aku pulang yang malu ani bah Mus! Yatah.. Lain kali ambil kelas samchung dulu sebelum cakap basar!!! Hahaha bah jgn mental.. Mentality misti ada, wherever you go!!! *lol*

Today, 19/08/2007 at 3:00pm friendly match Knights versus Black Arrows at Panaga field. Those BA guys are not bad.. Knights scored 6 and BA scored 7. Oh yes, there's another funny incident happened as well. Jersey 33 of BA was in the batter box. Got a hit and ran towards 1st base. Madin of Knights caught the ball and threw to Shukree (1st base) of Knights.. But instead the ball landed in Shukree's glove, it hit the Jersey 33's head and all we could hear from him was "ADAH!".. Haha we laughed our asses off. But then he was out. Great game guys. Thanks Black Arrows for having a friendly match with Knights. Next time lagi.. Oh yea, tell your girls (Red Arrows) bila kan friendly match sama kami?.. We're looking forward to it! Let us know otay?..

Finally!

Whew!

That didn't take long actually.. But its good to have our very own blog, right? Anyhoo, intros about us. Read on..

Sapphire, thats our team. Established in the year 2006. Don't judge us first though! We have old players too eventhough we're new. I don't know how we came up with the name Sapphire, but I'll reconfirm again when I know the story aight?

So how did I joined Sapphire? One day I was bored at home, so I wanted to go for a ride with my bike. I called up my friend Kerol and asked if he was free. Told me he was booked the whole evening playing softball. I was curious so I ended up joining him instead. (FYI I was wearing jeans!) So I watched them played in Panaga. It looked so aggressive and fun but hey, I'm just an audience. Then there's this girl (we call her Bebeh) invited me and asked to try it. So she lent me her glove and started throwing and catching. "Hmm.. Siuk jua ah" I told myself. Then the team captain asked to try to bat, in which I did. "Damn, siuk jua banar ah" again I told myself. So from that day til now, I have this huge obsession for Softball!

I think I got all that. Alrightie. Who trained us? Knights, our angel guidance! *aisehh* They play so damn good.

We played for the BSM cup this year. We didn't get through but we managed to get 1 point. We played with Wildcats and the score was 9-9. Then we played with Red Arrows and the score was 14-13. And again we played with Comets last and the score was 13-3. Good games and I must say, you guys are good! Hope to play with you all again soon yea?

Anyways, I'll leave it up to here. Will post some more if I can find wireless somewhere. I'll post some pictures too so hope you'll enjoy them. See ya!
